Christmas Day Kittens

The story of these little black kittens shows how necessary the trust is, and how vital its work is with trying to save abondoned and abused cats.

Christmas Day gave us an example of the worst, and the best, of human beings. These four little black kittens, about four weeks old, and one already very sick with very infected eyes, were callously dumped to die either by dehydration, or mauled to death by savage dog or human.

They were fortunate to be found by a good man and his little daughter who were having a walk on Christmas morning. They did not simply shake their heads and move on, but tried to find someone to look after the kittens. Finally they were given the trust's number, and the kittens' fortunes changed.

Xmas Day kittens The infected eyes are being treated, and they are being fostered until they are strong enough to be rehomed. If anyone is looking for a pretty little black kitten, who could be more deserving than one of these, thrown away to die, but saved by a number of caring humans?

UPDATE: With much sadness we must report that all but one of these beautiful kittens has passed on and gone to the Rainbow Bridge to be with all other pets, to be loved forever by those who remember them.

Earl*Update - July 2010:
The one surviving kitten, Earl, who was up for adoption has got himself a forever home. Congratulations little Earl!
