End of year!

This is the last newsletter for the year and we hope you have enjoyed reading about us and the animals we have. We have endeavoured to impart some titbits of information and look forward to continuing into 2012.Have a safe and enjoyable Christmas and all our best wishes for the coming year.

We thank all who have assisted us in our endeavours over the year, if you think your help has been insignificant, let us assure you that all help is gratefully received and all help is of great value.

I am often at this time reminded of the song “Don‟t they know it‟s Christmas” well unfortunately animals in need don‟t. Let us make a commitment for the coming year to alleviate their suffering.

Lucky Lucky's Story continued.

To continue Lucky's Story:
It only gets better! Lucky has a new mummy and daddy who are Lucky-proofing their house and they visited Lucky not long after his operation.

Our very grateful thanks to all who donated to enable us to give Lucky a good chance in life. You have done yourself proud.

Lucky will have tracking device on him and they are erecting a "cat-proof” fence around their property.

This fence is designed so that when a cat climbs it they can only get up so far and it bends under their weight and they jump back down. Lucky‟s new owners also adopted Possum a number of years ago.

INCOMING

Dot

DOT: Approx age 10 weeks now.

Found living rough. When she came to us she was drinking water. We thought there was a problem with her kidneys, so off to the vet she went, because we were concerned. The vet examined her and she was not dehydrated.

Instead of eating food which was scarce, she was filling her tummy with water. We are reeducating her so now she has small amounts of food and water. Each time food diminishes
she gets a small amount of water.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not. - Ernest Hemingway
