Freddie and Pete

Age: Freddie (1.3 years approx) Pete (3.5 years approx).

Sex: Male

Blurb by their foster parents:
These are our two beautiful boys, PETEY is the grey (on the right) who decided about three years ago that this was the house and family of his choice, two meals a day, vitamin supplements, a warm bed with his own blanket. He is a timid shy cat and cannot help himself even to this day as we put down his food from giving a low hiss and backing off.
We were feeding a few strays for a while and Pete always waited patiently until all the rest had eaten before coming forward. He is NOT feral in any way.

Last June we went away for a few days [paying the children nearby to feed him] and immediately on our return he came to the feeding door with two tiny kittens just weeks old, the little grey girl I managed to catch and take for adoption but little black Freddie eluded capture.

I managed to catch Petey and have him desexed and have tried several times to do the same for Freddie, he is wiley and so cute though. We watch them play by the window every evening and the father son relationship is superb.

I was unwell last week and was resting in the bedroom some way from the main door when my partner noticed both boys sitting at my door just looking in and watching me sleep, a first for Petey to come so far into the house! They may be strays but they know all about loyalty. Freddie lets us pat and fondle him when he is eating nad purrs happily, I can now get my hands around his tum and lift him gently.

They would be happy in a similar situation as outdoor cats just to be given a chance to live.

We are moving to Christchurch and sadly cannot take them with us, it is a retirement situation and backs onto a heritage protected wetlands. We simply cannot just abandon them and the new owners don't like cats.

Their good secure loving life is threatened by being chased from their own door and being cold and hungry in winter.
Can someone please help, I haven't slept properly in weeks and it is affecting our health, we truly love these guys and want, as always, the best for them to keep them together.
